The Swatch Group SA: Swatch Group erwirbt die Schmuck- und Uhrenmarke Harry Winston

14.01.2013, Swatch Group AG in Biel/Bienne erwirbt 100% der Aktien des amerikanischen Unternehmens HW Holdings Inc., Besitzer von Harry Winston Inc., 718 Fifth Avenue, in New York.

The Swatch Group Ltd. erwirbt die Marke und alle Aktivitäten im Zusammenhang mit Schmuck und Uhren, inklusive der 535 Mitarbeitenden weltweit und der Produktionsfirma in Genf (Schweiz). Die Akquisitionssumme beträgt US$ 750 Millionen plus die Nettoverschuldungsübernahme von bis zu maximal US$ 250 Millionen. Die Aktivitäten der Harry Winston Diamond Corporation neu Dominion Diamond Corporation, in Toronto (Kanada) sind davon nicht betroffen.

Robert A. Gannicott, Verwaltungsratspräsident und CEO der Harry Winston Diamond Corporation, kommentiert „Die Marke Harry Winston hat nun ein neues Zuhause, das über die nötige Fachkompetenz verfügt und der Marke die Unterstützung geben kann, die sie verdient, um ihr wahres Potenzial auszuschöpfen.“
