Swatch Group AG: Übernahme von Swiss Precision Johannesburg

01.04.2009, Biel/Bienne. Die Swatch Group hat per 31. März 2009 einen Kaufvertrag betreffend die Firma Swiss Precision (Pty) Ltd., Johannesburg, Südafrika unterzeichnet, die für den Vertrieb ihrer Uhren in diesem Land zuständig ist.

Swatch Group war schon bisher mit 10% am Aktienkapital der Gesellschaft beteiligt. Die Gesellschaft wurde im Jahr 2003 gemeinsam mit der Familie Moss für den Vertrieb von Swatch Group Uhren errichtet. Der Kauf erfolgt unter dem Vorbehalt der Genehmigung durch die zuständigen südafrikanischen Behörden.

Mit der Übernahme geht auch ein kleines Netz von neun Swatch Franchising-Läden, die von der Distributionsgesellschaft betrieben werden, in den Besitz der Swatch Group über.

Die Swiss Precision (Pty) Ltd. beschäftigt zur Zeit 57 Mitarbeiter. Die Swatch Group beabsichtigt mit diesem Kauf, in Südafrika verstärkt zu expandieren.
